Earth to Business Marketing was founded in 2014 on principles of sustainability and community-based social marketing as learned by its owner and founder Colleen G. McCauley.

Since high school, Colleen daydreamed of when she would own and manage a business that created enjoyable work for all. She prepared for that day with determination and passion by diversifying her talents, knowledge and experiences over the years.

Now, that daydream has turned to reality.  From the foundation of knowledge and experience of our founder, we will make a positive community impact by helping small businesses improve brand messaging, communications with their target market, and their bottom-line.

Raised in rural Ontario near Strathroy, Colleen G. McCauley returned to London in 2007 after living in Kitchener, Atikokan and Toronto. She has diverse talents, practical knowledge and skilled experiences in marketing, project management, and business management.

Colleen pursued formal education and professional development in workshops, seminars and conferences on business, marketing, and leadership. In 1995, she completed a Business Management diploma with Honours from ICS Canada. In 1999, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honours Geography: Environment and Resources Management program from the University of Western Ontario. In 2011, she finished a Business – Marketing diploma with advanced standing from Fanshawe College.

Since 1999, Colleen worked and volunteered in over 20 marketing projects and programs for non-profit organizations, private companies and government. From her roles, she gained a strong foundation in project coordination, marketing and communications by

  • actively raising awareness about environmental issues, products and services, and
  • promoting behavioural change to consumers, small business and the general public.

Over the years, Colleen has also demonstrated skill in presentations, writing, internal and external relationship development (i.e. partners, media and the general public) and event organizing e.g. tradeshows, workshops, conferences, and project launches. Her creative talent has grown from high school art classes to university cartographic and GIS courses to practical work experience in graphic design as shown in her creative portfolio.
